Break the Chain … to explore the true potential of Pakistan.

My uncle who is an NRP (Non Resident Pakistani) used to be in Canada for last 14 years, came to Pakistan last week and told me & my brother that “why you guys do not apply for Canadian Immigration although both of you fall in the category of fast track?”… It seems good to me but how can I miss the opportunity to live in a Country, where I can grow 1000 times faster than any other country in this world. I am not backing it due to my affection & affiliation towards my beloved Country Pakistan but I am validating it on the basis of potential & natural resources available in my beloved Country. Enemies of Pakistan don’t want to let us know and explore these facts; my uncle was right in his point of view – the point of view & image of Pakistan which have been created synthetically by our enemies. – They are portraying Pakistan as they want to, not as it is in an actual.

Unfortunately we are doing & perceiving the things as our enemies want. And to a great extent even our media is either portraying or becoming a tool to spread negative things all the time. Yes, it is their responsibility to raise the flag against any wrong doing but again they must flourish the positive image of our beloved Home land Pakistan in the world as well. Let me give you an example, Three months ago – the accident of Benazir Bhutto Shaheed Park (Rangers official who shot the young man) or just recall the Akhrotabad Incident (where 5 foreigners including women were encountered brutally), What happens as these incidents occurred, Media hype has been created & they become Lawyer & we become judge, whole day literally and the whole day they repeated the same incidents again & again without going into the details. I will not go into the depth as now things have been cleared; you can easily search out on internet for true story of these incidents.

There is a need to break the chains to come out with pride & honor; we should focus on the brighter and hidden potential of Pakistan. Once I had been to Circus, where I saw a Giant Elephant – his one leg was tied up by an Iron chain. When I saw this, I thought why the Giant Elephant was not breaking the chain though he has all the strength to break that chain. When I asked this to his trainer that, what if the elephant breaks the chain … The Trainer told me that there is an interesting technique that elephants are trained with, when the baby elephant is born, his leg is tied to a small chain to keep him under control. Baby tries to break the chain to run around but he cannot break it. In this process, the baby Elephant learns to be helpless and stops exerting pressure and decides to live with the reality. With this ‘Cultured Helplessness & Can’t -Do Attitude’, he lives his entire life believing that he cannot break the chains.

Same is the case with our nation, especially Youth of Pakistan. We have been living our life without realizing the real potential of doing wonders. Now I am giving you the reasons to “Break the Chains” - is meant to awaken and unleash the giant potential we are born with. Let the world know we are Pakistani and we have broken our chains that were fixed by enemies when we the Nation were born on 14th August 1947.

Human Resource (one of the greatest strength of Pakistan):
Following are the distribution of population of Pakistan
Total population = 17.5 million (approx.)
Under 14 (years) = 6.5 million (37%)
15-64 = 1 million (57%)

While Japan has 19% people above 65 years of age, look at those 57% figure, our youth is storming for opportunities to do wonders. Why Canada, Australia, New Zealand, USA and UK are giving immigrations to our youth? There is a need to Educate, Train and Guide them and then invest this Asset in the right direction.

Energy (Electricity):

Does Pakistan has so much energy (electricity) that can be stored?
YES!

Our demand ranges from 15,055MW To 20,584 MW.
While Energy (electricity) can be produced from
COAL                      = 100,000 MW
HYDRO POWER   = 40,000 MW
SOLAR ENERGY  = 100,000 MW
WIND POWER      = 50,000 MW
--------------------
Total Energy (electricity) = 300,000 MW (Approx.)

Natural Resources:
Natural Resources     Reserves(approx)
OIL                           6 trillion barrels
GAS                          32.8 trillion cubic ft explored
28 trillion cubic ft un explored
COAL                       175 billion tons
COPPER                   12.3 million tons
GOLD                        20.9 million ounce

Metallic ores need exploration:
• Tungsten
• Titanium
• Iron ores
• Gold
• Silver
• Platinum
• Lithium

Natural resources depend upon the geographical position of country.
• PAKISTAN has 5th largest Gold mine in the world.
• PAKISTAN’s coal reserves are equivalent to 618 billion barrels of Oil which is twice of the oil reserves of SAUDI ARABIA.
• PAKISTAN is the 6th largest Natural Gas producing in ASIA PACIFIC.
• PAKISTAN is 5th Cheapest Country in the world & Karachi is 3rd Cheapest Metropolitan city of the world.
• PAKISTAN is 27th Biggest economy in terms of Purchasing Power and 45th largest Economy in absolute dollar terms in the world

Agricultural Achievements :
Pakistan is basically an agricultural country. Only those countries can have enormous agricultural products which have large cultivated area. Pakistan also has this blessing but we are using only 47% of fertile land. As Pakistan is agricultural country so its economy mainly depends upon this. Pakistan has one of the largest and oldest (Almost 180 years) canal systems in world.
Pakistan is one of the world's largest producers and suppliers of the following according to the 2005 Food and Agriculture Organization of The United Nations (FAOSTAT ) given here with ranking:
• Chickpea (1st)
• Apricot (4th)
• Cotton (4th)
• Sugarcane (4th)
• Milk (5th)
• Onion (5th)
• Date Palm (6th)
• Mango (7th)
• Tangerines, mandarin oranges, Clementine (8th)
• Rice (8th)
• Wheat (9th)
• Oranges (10th)
Pakistan ranks third (3rd ) in Asia Pacific, fifth (5th) in the Muslim world out of 53 Countries and twentieth (20th) worldwide in farm output out of 196 Countries.

WOW, we should have pride on our beloved country, on these achievements that even without using the new technology rather using the old conventional procedures; we have been simply great in farm output.

Our beloved Country is going to celebrate its 64th Independence (MashaAllah), Our country is bestowed by natural resources (including energy resources) which can be used for the development of the country and prosperity to its people, while superb man power with energetic vision is also present.

Let me reiterate here that we are not going to drown but we are ready to take off.But the only thing we are missing to enlighten, Unity and Leadership. If we have a dedicated leadership, we will grow and our county Pakistan will be glowing on the map of world. (Insha’Allah).

Pak Sarzameen Zindabad!!!
Long Live Pakistan …
